A high profile 'living refurbishment demonstrator' in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent

We have brought together public and private stakeholders keen to face head-on the challenge of climate change through smart and sustainable retrofitting, in order to increase energy efficiency of our current housing and commercial building stock. CoRE will provide a multi-functional facility to nurture new R&D networks and an active knowledge base; host building technology related business incubation; facilitate new materials testing and demonstration; profile and showcase sustainable refurbishment products; support businesses to secure new business opportunities from retrofitting and deliver refurbishment skills and training solutions, including practitioner led seminars and conferences. With ambitions to be the leading authority on retrofit, CoRE will stimulate the fusion between building technologies and environmental technologies.
