CoRE will afford a number of national, regional and local benefits. It will:- raise the national and regional profile and advance sustainable refurbishment which is essential to meet national and regional targets for reducing carbon emissions
- play a key part in the market transformation of aspects of the building and environment technologies sector - priority clusters for AWM
- stimulate renewal in a run-down area of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, stimulating visitor footfall, new employment opportunities and business activity
- stimulate new market growth spurring innovation in product development and diversification into sustainable products
- galvanise sector activity by facilitating increased links between industry leaders and SMEs enabling new supply chains, products, services and investment
- nurture new channels for business growth by providing practical support to businesses under one roof and linked to an impressive array of partner organisations
- provide a new exciting knowledge platform for young and old learners, experienced industry practitioners and trades people to enhance refurbishment skills and to excel with new competencies.
